Promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in CFA Society Boston and our Industry

The CFA Society Boston Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Program Planning Committee is looking forward to building on and expanding the work we have been doing over the past couple of years as the Women's Initiative Programs Committee. Our goal is to promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in CFA Society Boston and our industry. As in our previous incarnation, we believe strongly that programs that benefit the entire membership and that address interests across the arc of members' careers will have the greatest impact.

Guiding Principles
- Provide programs that benefit the entire membership and promote inclusion
- Transformative impact on CFA Society Boston and our profession by thinking disruptively  
- Support DEI across the arc of career (entry level, mid, senior leaders)
- Identify and provide education addressing large, medium and small firms

We're seeking your input into topics you would like to see covered in upcoming events. Ideas we're currently considering include:

  1. How to be an ally to women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals who work in our industry
  2. How to grow diverse talent within your organization via promotion, retention, and sponsorship
  3. How to launch and grow an employee resource group
  4. Building out a diverse recruitment pipeline

We want to hear from you! In particular:

  1. Which of these topics are most interesting to you?
  2. Have you attended, or has your organization sponsored, any programs or events on these topics that you'd recommend?
  3. Do you have ideas for topics or speakers you'd like us to consider?

The CFA Society Boston Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Program Planning Committee is looking forward to building on and expanding the work we have been doing over the past couple of years as the Women's Initiative Programs Committee. Our goal is to promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in CFA Society Boston and our industry. As in our previous incarnation, we believe strongly that programs that benefit the entire membership and that address interests across the arc of members' careers will have the greatest impact. The society is now accepting applicants for the DEI Program Planning Committee. Please note the appointment is for a one-year term, July 1-June 30. CFA Society Members in good standing can apply in the Volunteer Headquarters online here.
